This Campaign turned the focus onto the invisible but very real problem of emotional abuse in Irish society. Using harsh but unfortunately every-day words that damage children's esteem, such as 'bitch', 'bastard' and 'prick' we put together a 360 campaign. As part of this we devised a 'shield pin' for the ISPCC with the aim that it become an iconic image of protection for children. We used the Shield to 'destroy' and 'shatter' the verbal abuse. This campaign culminated in a unique event night at the Copper House Gallery where the public, by tweeting their support, helped to 'explode' a sheet of glass in the gallery that had been spray painted with the abusive phrase 'bitch'.
